Training and Raising Awareness

The Istanbul Fire Brigade trains the citizens as well as its own personnel. The trainers of the Brigade give training to personnel of various companies, organizations foundations so as to prepare people for incidents like fire and disasters such as earthquake, flood, etc. and to raise disaster awareness in them. Our personnel are trained in Istanbul Fire Brigade training center as known as IBITEM. Also we give training to firefighters of other fire departments of other cities in the country and other countries about a wide range of firefighting and rescuing subjects. In addition to these educational activities, we educate voluntary firefighters living in and nearby forest villages in Istanbul. We also give basic fire related training to kids of elementary schools and of kindergartens so as to heighten fire awareness in children.
