A fire broke out in the first-floor flat of an eight-storey building on Ömer Hayyam Street in Kalyoncu Kulluğu Neighbourhood, Beyoğlu. The Fire Department was called at 23:15 and fire crews from Beyoğlu and Şişli stations attended the incident along with paramedics. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze and rescued ten people trapped on upper floors. Then they were delivered over to paramedics. While the fire resulted in damage to the flat, no one was injured or dead.
