The "tulumbacılar" of Istanbul were in Balıkesir28 September 2018 Friday
IMM Fire Department's firefighters intervened in the simulated fire in the scope of firefighting week activities in Balıkesir.
Within the scope of firefighting week activities, the program, which was held in Ali Hikmet Pasha Square in Balıkesir, began with the concert of Mehter Team. The Ottoman firefighters called "tulumbacılar" consisting of firefighters from Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, extinguished a simulated fire in the square and saved a person from inside the burning house.
The demonstration of the fire extinguishing by "tulumbacılar" of Istanbul was watched with interest by the surrounding citizens.
