A fire broke out at the roof of a five-storey building on Old Edirne Asphalt 2000 Street in 50th Year Neighbourhood, Sultangazi. The Fire Department was called at 08:40 and fire crews from Sultangazi, Gaziosmanpaşa, Bağcılar, Başakşehir, Fatih and Bakırköy stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze and rescued four people trapped in the building. Then they were taken to hospital by paramedics.
