A fire broke out in the laundry room on the basement floor of a five-storey hotel on Ekrem Tur Street in Hüseyin Ağa Neighbourhood, Beyoğlu. The Fire Department was called at 10:30 and fire crews from Beyoğlu and Fatih stations attended the incident along with paramedics. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, rescued nine people trapped on upper floors. While the fire resulted in damage to the the laundry room, no one was injured or dead.
