Dangerous and forbidden to enter dams and lakes31 May 2019 Friday
Entering dams and lakes for cooling and swimming purposes is dangerous and prohibited for life safety.

Lakes and dams, which are drinking water resources, are areas that have low buoyancy due to their fresh water resources and should not be used for cooling and swimming.

Especially in the days of the hot summer months in Istanbul and in some cities of our country, dams and lakes due to the entry into the dying events are lost. In spite of all warnings of the relevant local authorities, unfortunately these situations continue to be experienced.

The total length of the areas used as water sources in Istanbul is 681 thousand 452 meters and it is not possible to turn such an area within the nature and watch every point from moment to moment.

In order to prevent unfortunate events, Istanbul residents, especially parents, should be more sensitive and careful not to enter the lakes that are drinking water sources and not to use them for swimming purposes.

It is publicly announced.
