Ekrem İmamoglu, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), started the day by visiting the Police Department in Edirnekapı. Greeted by the Head of the Department Engin Ulusoy, İmamoğlu greeted the Municipal Police Ceremony Squad and met the staff. İmamoğlu was accompanied by a full staff of IMM top management. İmamoğlu, who first made investigations at the Municipal Police Control Center, was given technical information by Ulusoy. The delegation then went to the conference hall and listened to the detailed presentation of Ulusoy. Following the presentation of Ulusoy, İmamoğlu addressed the police officers in the hall and said, “Police are really the front of the municipality. When we go out, we know the military, we know the police, we know the municipality with municipal police" he said. İmamoglu reminded that the municipal police  have the authority to warn and guide them. "Yes, it may not always be a scheme that carries the same goodwill of society. But we really have to push it. We need to determine specific methods for this ”.

“20 THOUSAND PEOPLE OR 15 MILLION 980 THOUSAND PEOPLE?”

In his speech, İmamoglu opened a separate paragraph in Ulusoy's presentation of the finding that there were a large number of occupants in some IMM properties. I will not allow Istanbul to occupy anyone - but a square but a street but a car park but a park. Istanbul got rid of the occupation in 1922. After that we will not allow any occupation, but individual but institutional, but the organization of several people. We'il be determined about this. We will serve this commitment to the conscience of 16 million people. We have no secrets or hidden things."

THE SECOND STOP WAS THE FIRE DEPARTMENT

Imamoglu's second stop after EdirnekapI was the Department of Fire Brigade in Fatih. İmamoğlu was greeted by the Head of Fire Department Remzi Albayrak and the Ceremonial Squad that consisted of firefighters. İmamoğlu and Albayrak met in the presidential chamber before the presentation. “The fire brigade is one of the areas where we pray that no job will fall, said İmamoğlu. "Perhaps, it should be a very original, world-wide search for how to be strengthened in this respect. It is not only the renewal within itself, but what kind of innovations are taking place on a global scale, how steps are taken, and we are a metropolis that should participate in the agenda with close follow-up ”. Albayrak said, “Our level of readiness as the Istanbul Fire Department is quite good. We are particularly good at vehicles and materials. We have little shortcomings. According to the conditions of the day, according to changing conditions, our needs are changing. These are not huge changes and demands; but we need to adapt new technologies as soon as possible. Because if we are late, it becomes more difficult to compensate after that." The delegation then moved to the hall where the presentation would be held.
