IMM sent Underwater Search and Rescue Team to Tunceli19 January 2020 Sunday
The IMM Underwater Search and Rescue Team went to Tunceli to participate in the search for university student Gülistan Doku, who has not been informed for 2 weeks.

2nd grade student at Munzur University Department of Child Development Gülistan Doku (21) left the dormitory on the morning of 5 January and was never heard from again.

As a result of the researches, it was determined that the mobile phone of the university girl gave the last signal at the Sarısaltuk Viaduct on Uzunçayır Dam Lake. Police, gendarmerie and AFAD teams have been continuing the search for 2 weeks.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Fire Department sent the Underwater Search Team (ISAK), consisting of 2 vehicles and 6 personnel, to Tunceli yesterday.

Today, the IMM Team, which arrives at Munzur at noon, joins other teams and starts the search and rescue activities in Uzunçayır Dam Lake.

ISAK, which is kept ready for 24 hours at the stations in the coastal and pond areas in Istanbul, can work in any climate conditions. The team members, who can swim and run in difficult weather conditions, can dive up to 42 meters with Scuba equipment and perform all kinds of search and rescue operations in streams, lakes and sea. The team is also an expert in first aid and accident response.
