An official ceremony was held at the Taksim Republic Monument as part of the 106th anniversary celebrations of May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. The official ceremony began with a moment of silence for Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades and all martyrs, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The ceremony ended with the laying of a wreath by Istanbul Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Mr. Muhittin Özbay. Following the end of the official ceremony, the event organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) began. Deputy Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mr. Nuri Aslan laid the IMM wreath on the Atatürk Monument with applause that lasted for minutes.

Our Fire Department Head Mr. Remzi Albayrak hosted the guest delegation in his office and provided them with detailed information about the organizational structure, areas of duty and the work carried out by the Istanbul Fire Department.

At the end of the visit, our Department Head Mr. Albayrak presented the delegation with a gift in memory of the day and a souvenir photo was taken. The meeting, which was productive in terms of international cooperation and information sharing, also provided a mutual exchange of experiences.
