tr-TR 08.02.2016 22.5.2026 http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss Istanbul Itfaiye RSS Feed Aslan celebrated the holiday with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality employees https://itfaiye.ibb.gov.tr/en/news/18606/aslan-celebrated-the-holiday-with-istanbul-metropolitan-municipality-employees.html In his speech at the Eid al-Adha celebration with the staff, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan said, “No service is disrupted in Istanbul. We have no payment problems. We have no cleaning problems, no transportation problems, and no disruptions at the construction sites. This success is entirely yours. I repeat: Thank you for being here, and thank you for being with us. Allah has brought us together, our paths have crossed. Therefore, may Allah bring our paths together with good people in the future and may we continue to serve this country and this nation.” "May Allah grant it to all of us," he said.

Aslan continued, "Believe me, Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has no worries at all. I've said it many times before, and I want to say it again today. He doesn't say, 'What happened to that?', 'Decide this way', 'Do this like that'. He only says: 'I have entrusted Istanbul to the people of Istanbul, and I trust you and my 92,000 friends and companions.' He knows that Istanbul has 92,000 guardians, that they are protecting 16 million Istanbul residents. Therefore, he has no worries at all."

Following the speeches, Aslan and the senior management of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality shook hands with each employee individually and wished them a happy holiday.

Aslan laid a wreath at the Taksim Republic Monument https://itfaiye.ibb.gov.tr/en/news/18597/aslan-laid-a-wreath-at-the-taksim-republic-monument.html Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan attended the official ceremony at the Taksim Republic Monument on the occasion of the May 19th Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day. Aslan was accompanied by CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik and his management team, as well as IMM bureaucrats. The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, after which IMM Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan laid a wreath at the Atatürk Monument. Speaking after the wreath-laying ceremony, Aslan stated, “Exactly one hundred and seven years ago, when Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk arrived in Samsun from Istanbul, he left behind a city under occupation and within it a glimmer of hope. From that day to this, for one hundred and seven years, after the declaration of the republic and the achievement of independence, all the evolutions of the republic have been ingrained in this society. The republic is a one hundred and seven-year-old oak tree and will live forever. Today we are faced with various undemocratic and unlawful rules; but we will continue to protect the republic, which Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk entrusted to us. We have our youth, we have our hope, our enthusiasm is high! One way or another, under all circumstances, we will protect the republic.”
