We held a productive meeting focusing on regional collaborations, training, and volunteer firefighting activities.

Fire Safety and Firefighting Activity at Metro Istanbul Summer School

As part of the Summer School activities organized by Metro Istanbul at its Esenler Campus this year, the Istanbul Fire Department provided fire safety and fire awareness training to children and parents.

The training covered correct behavior in case of a fire, basic fire safety rules, and what to do in emergencies, all demonstrated practically. The Istanbul Fire Department continues its training efforts uninterruptedly to increase fire safety awareness among children, who will be the conscious individuals of the future, and to spread a safety culture in society.

Candidates applying for 122 firefighter positions and 75 other positions under the Civil Servants Law No. 657 took an exam at the Yenikapı Kadir Topbaş Exhibition and Arts Center.

Candidates who passed the written exam for firefighter positions will undergo height and weight measurements under the supervision of a physician before the practical exam. Candidates found not to meet the height and weight requirements they declared during the application process will be eliminated without being allowed to take the practical exam.
