A fire broke out in a single-storey derelict building on Muratpaşa Road in Eğitim Neighbourhood, Kadıköy. The Fire Department was called at 18:16 and fire crews from Kadıköy and Erenköy stations attended the incident along with paramedics. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze. While the fire resulted in damage to the derelict building, no one was injured or dead.
