Count Odön Szecheny, President of the Hungarian National Fire Brigade in London, studying fire-fighting; After the great fire of Beyoğlu in 1871, he came to Istanbul in 1874 with the orders of Sultan Abdülaziz Khan and returned to his hometown after founding a military fire brigade of 4 battalions and 1 naval battalion. A year later, upon the invitation of Sultan Abdülhamit Han, he was in Istanbul again and he continued to work for the Istanbul, as part of the Count Odön Szecheny İstanbul Fire Brigade for 48 years, until 1922.
