Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu attended the official ceremony held at the Taksim Republic Monument within the scope of the 105th anniversary celebrations of the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. The official ceremony started with a moment of silence for Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades in arms and all the martyrs, and then the singing of the National Anthem. The ceremony ended with Istanbul Youth and Sports Provincial Director Muhittin Özbay laying a wreath on the monument. After the end of the official ceremony, the event organized by IMM started. Along with İmamoğlu, representatives of political parties, municipalities and non-governmental organizations, including CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik and Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney, laid a wreath at the Republic Monument after the official ceremony.
