İBB to recruit 1,532 civil servants15 January 2025 Wednesday
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) will hire a total of 1,532 civil servants to work in various departments of the municipality. Applications will be made electronically via e-Government between February 10 and 16, 2025. İBB Assistant Secretary General Zeynep Neyza Akçabay stated that the recruitment process will be fair, transparent, and based on equal opportunity. Information about the required documents and the appointment process for successful candidates will be announced on İBB's official website.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) will recruit a total of 1,532 civil servants under the provisions of the State Civil Servants Law No. 657. Among the positions to be filled, 785 Firefighters, 315 Municipal Police Officers, and 432 civil servants in other titles will be recruited. Applications will be accepted electronically via e-Government between February 10 and February 16, 2025. Applicants can only apply for one position.

EXAM PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS

Candidates will be ranked according to their KPSS scores, and the top five candidates for each position will be invited to take the exam. Firefighter and Municipal Police Officer candidates will participate in written and practical exams. Before the practical exam, candidates’ height and weight measurements will be taken. Those who do not meet the requirements will not be allowed to take the exam, and legal action will be initiated against candidates who provide false information. Applications with incomplete or incorrect information will not be processed.

The list of candidates eligible for the exam will be announced on İBB's official website on February 24, 2025. Candidates will be able to access their exam entry documents via e-Government. Information about the required documents for successful candidates and the appointment process will also be announced on İBB’s official website.

Applications will be made according to the provisions of the Municipal Fire Department Regulation, Municipal Police Regulation, and the Regulation on Exams and Appointments for Those Appointed to Local Authorities for the First Time.
