A fire broke out on the first floor of a 3-storey nursing home located on Adatepe Street in the Zümrütevler Neighbourhood of Maltepe. Maltepe, Kartal, Kadıköy, Ataşehir, Ümraniye, Sancaktepe, Pendik, Büyükbakkalköy fire teams and emergency medical crews were dispatched to the scene upon receiving reports at around 05:04. The fire was brought under control and extinguished as a result of the efforts of our teams that arrived at the scene in a short time.
86 citizens in the nursing home were evacuated by our teams. 15 people affected by the smoke were sent to nearby hospitals. There was material damage in the incident.
