A fire broke out on the roof of the Balıkçılar Çarşısı (Fishermen's Market) on Turgut Özal Boulevard in Kordonboyu Neighborhood of Kartal. Firefighters from Kartal, Pendik, Maltepe, Kadıköy, Ümraniye, and Sultanbeyli stations were dispatched to the scene following reports at around 2:26 a.m. The fire teams arrived quickly and extinguished the fire.
The incident caused material damage, but there were no injuries or fatalities.
