A fire broke out at solid waste materials in the stairwell of a three-storey building on 2nd Street on Gülbahar Road in Evren Neighbourhood, Bağcılar. The Fire Department was called at 17:13 and firefighters from Kocasinan station attended the incident. The fire crew, arriving at the scene soon, worked meticulously and extinguished the blaze. Five people trapped on upper floors were evacuated safely. Two people affected slightly by smoke were treated on scene by the paramedics of the Istanbul Ambulance Service. While the fire resulted in financial damage, no one was injured or dead.
