The lifeguards of Istanbul Fire Department are on duty on 38 beaches covering 47800 metres of Istanbul coasts. They save the lives of people and visitors of Istanbul with 2 drones, 35 Jet Skis, 7 rescue boats, 2 amphibious vessels and 14 ATVs. 481 lifeguards, being ready in 190 watchtowers for taking actions, watch the beaches and have saved 1061 people from drowning since 15th May 2017.
