A fire broke out on the basement floor of a five-storey building on Elmaspaşa Street in Nişanca Neighbourhood, Fatih. The Fire Department was called at 11:15 and fire crews from Fatih and Eminönü stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze and delivered a person affected by smoke over to paramedics who would take him/her to paramedics. While the fire resulted in damage to the basement floor, no one was dead.
