A fire broke out in the ground-floor fuel tank of an aluminium factory on Şiroğlu Street in Cumhuriyet Neighbourhood, Kartal. The Fire Department was called at 01:53 and fire crews from Kartal, Pendik and Yakacık stations attended the incident with paramedics. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze. While the fire resulted in damage to the factory, no one was injured or dead.
