The first course of advanced rescue training was conducted in the Firefighters' Training Center between 2nd and 6th April 2018 for 40 hours within the scope of 2018 in-service training after a 40-hour theoretical training was given on the Fire Department E-Academy online basis between 26th and 30th March. The course involved the following subjects:
First day: Techniques of knot tying and stretcher tying, rescue equipment knowledge, pulley systems
Second day: Techniques of rescuing at high distances
Third day: Techniques of rescuing from wells, cisterns and water tanks
Fourth day: Techniques of rescuing with portable ladders
Fifth day: Techniques of searching & rescuing in fires and smoky environments
The firefighters from Istanbul Fire Department completed the 80-hour course successfully.
