A fire broke out in the exterior lighting system of a high-rise building on Bilim Street in Maslak Neighbourhood, Sarıyer. The Fire Department was called at 05:49 and fire crews from İstinye, Hacıosman, Seyrantepe, Şişli, Beyoğlu, Beşiktaş, Kağıthane, Gaziosmanpaşa, Bakırköy, Turgutreis and İkitelli stations attended the incident along with paramedics. 69 firefighters in 24 fire engines, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze. While the fire resulted in damage to the building, no one was injured or dead.
