The Istanbul Fire Department non-stop continues with educational work initiated with the aim of creating public awareness for disaster in every segment of society. 22 kids from Yeşilköy Hamdullah Suphi Tanrıöver Primary School visited Fatih fire station. In the first part of the course, they were taught about fires, causes of fires and correct behaviours during fires and disasters. In the second part, the students wearing training clothes conducted a fire drill. They accomplished the drill in which fire models and water extinguishers were used. The kids, enjoying their time in the station as well as learning essential things, had the chance to see the fire engines in Istanbul Fire Department closer. Then they visited the Head of the Department Mr. Ali KARAHAN in the headquarters next to the station. The educative visit ended with souvenir photos taken together.
