IMM's 158 personnel participate in workshops with 23 vehicles in Elazığ25 January 2020 Saturday

IMM was on alert yesterday evening due to the 6.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Sivrice district of Elazığ. With the instructions of Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who attended the coordination meeting in AFAD, search and rescue and aid teams consisting of 158 personnel and 23 vehicles were sent to Elazığ. Search and rescue team started working in the city. During the night-long operations, 2 citizens were rescued injured under the rubble.

After the earthquake, a team was formed from the units within thw scope of “IMM Disaster and Emergency Response Plan” to participate in the search and rescue activities in Elazığ and its vicinity. The search and rescue team was sent to the area by plane at night. The aid team going to Elazığ by road will reach the city during the day.

On the instructions of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, search and rescue and aid teams consisting of 158 personnel and 23 vehicles were sent to Elazığ. Search and rescue team started working in the city. An injured citizen and the injured animal were removed from the rubble during the night-long operations in the village of Elazığ. The lifeless body of 5 people was reached.

Along with the Support Services Logistics team for assistance, a food truck capable of producing 2 kinds of food for 3 thousand people, 1 cold food truck, 2 open body trucks, generator etc. along with the equipment, there are food engineers, cooks, technical and service personnel.

Hamidiye AŞ, a subsidiary of IMM, sent 1 water tanker to the earthquake area to meet the water needs of the region.

On the other hand, IMM Fire Brigade Underwater Search and Rescue Team (ISAK), which carried out the studies of searching for the university student Gülistan Doku, who went to Tunceli a few days ago, started to support the rescue efforts by passing to Elazığ with 2 personnel and 2 vehicles.
