A fire broke out at the electrical installation at the ground floor of a ten-storey building on İpek Böceği Street in Kordonboyu Neighbourhood, Kartal. The Fire Department was called at 16:42 and fire crews from Kartal and Maltepe stations attended the incident along with paramedics. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, rescued 17 people trapped on upper floors, and delivered them over to paramedics. While the fire resulted in partial damage to the dwelling, no one was injured or dead.
