DEVICE  MAINTENANCE PROVIDES 10 - 15 %  SAVING

IGDAŞ reminded that cleaning of chimney before winter and burning device maintenance such as boiler, water heater and stove should be done. These preparatory works are important for both security and savings. The surveys reveal that regular cleaning of the chimney and the maintenance of the device can lead to an increase in the efficiency of 10-15% in addition to eliminating the dangers that may arise. The device with the highest efficiency is heated by consuming less natural gas.

In order to ensure complete security, the device maintenance and chimney cleaning must be carried out by IGDAŞ authorized services. Istanbulites must apply to authorized services and natural gas certified companies for  the maintenance of natural gas equipment and internal installation maintenance, which is listed in the list of companies in the website of IGDAŞ. In addition, the chimney cleaning must be done by of the companies that are authorized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Fire Department.

According to the rules of safe natural gas use; the ventilation vent in the environment of the burning device must always remain open. The grill provides clean air intake to the environment and provides an efficient combustion, and allows the gas to escape from the environment in case of possible gas leaks.
