A fire broke out at the electric meters on the ground floor of a five-storey building on Ceyhun Street in Ambarlı Neighbourhood, Avcılar. The Fire Department was called at 12:22 and firefighters from Avcılar station attended the incident. The fire crew, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze and evacuated two adults and a baby affected by smoke. Then they were taken to hospital by paramedics. While the fire resulted in damage to the ground floor of the building, no one was dead.
