A fire broke out at the basement floor of a hotel on Refik Saydam Road in Evliya Çelebi Neighbourhood, Beyoğlu. The Fire Department was called at 14:19 and fire crews from Beyoğlu and Fatih stations attended the incident along with paramedics. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze and rescued a man affected by smoke. He was taken to hospital by paramedics. While the fire resulted in partial damage to the hotel, no one was dead.
