A fire broke out at the basement floor of a five-storey building on Langa Karakolu Street in Katip Kasım Neighbourhood, Fatih. The Fire Department was called at 20:42 and firefighters from Fatih station attended the incident along with paramedics. The fire crew, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze and evacuated 35 people trapped by smoke in the building. While the fire resulted in damage to the basement floor, no one was injured or dead.
