Beach season opened in Istanbul2 June 2016 Thursday
The beaches on both Anatolian and European Sides have been opened.
The beaches of Istanbul have been put into service and the Fire Department takes necessary precautions with lifeguards working for the Department on all the beaches in the area of its responsibility. 450 lifeguards give service to the people and visitors of Istanbul with 34 jet-skis, 7 rescue boats, 14 ATVs, 187 watch-towers on 38 beaches in 12 districts of the city. 35563 citizens have been rescued by the lifeguards since 2005.
