A fire broke out in a forested land in the vicinity of Sazlıdere Village in Keşan District of Edirne City. The Fire Department was called for support and the Flame Eagle, the response helicopter hired by the Department, attended the incident. 42 water-tenders, 4 helicopters, 13 water-tankers and 5 bulldozers from various public bodies were dispatched to the scene. Also 8 first-responders and 2 ambulances came to help. A 150-person crew worked hard to extinguish the wild fire. Arriving at the scene, the Flame Eagle made 25 sorties but the strong winds made the responses to the blaze difficult. Firefighting efforts still continue non-stop to prevent the wild fire from spreading to residential areas.
