A fire broke out in a single-storey shanty house on Şamdan Street in Yakacık Yeni Neighbourhood, Kartal. The Fire Department was called at 05:44 and fire crews from Yakacık and Bakkalköy stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze. While the fire resulted in damage to the shanty house, no one was injured or dead.
