A fire broke out in a single-storey shanty house on Oya Çiçeği Street in Fatih Sultan Mehmet Neighbourhood, Sarıyer. The Fire Department was called at 07:49 and fire crews from Hacıosman, Seyrantepe and Sarıyer stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze. While the fire resulted in damage to the shanty house, no one was injured or dead.
