A fire broke out in a grassy area on Akra Street in Muratçeşme Neighbourhood, Büyükçekmece. The Fire Brigade was called at 13:50 and firefighters from Mimarsinan station attended the incident. The fire crew, arriving at the scene soon along with the Flame Eagle - which applied 11340 litres of lake water by making three sorties, extinguished the blaze without allowing it to spread. The fire resulted in damage to the grassy area.
