A fire broke out in the forested area in the vicinity of Büyük Liman in Garipçe Village, Sarıyer. The Fire Department was called at 14:27 and fire crews from Maden, Yavuz Sultan Selim and Sarıyer stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon along with the Flame Eagle, which made 11 sorties and applied 44,660 litres of sea water and 11,34 litres of foam, extinguished the blaze. While the fire resulted in damage to the forested area, no one was injured or dead.
