Beach season was closed in the Istanbul City.

The lifeguarding service of Istanbul Fire Department on both sides of the city has finished as the beach season has been closed. Required measures were taken at the beaches in the Department's areas of responsibility. 450 lifeguards responded to 6462 drowning incidents with 34 jet-skis, 7 ATVs, 187 wach-towers in 12 districts of Istanbul. Since 2005, the lifeguards working for the Istanbul Fire Department have saved 42.025 people from drowning.
