A fire broke out in a derelict shanty house in Mehmet Emin Yurdakul Street in Soğanlık Yeni Neighbourhood, Kartal. T he Fire Department was called at 15:55 and fire crews from Kartal and Yakacık stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze. While the fire resulted in damage to the shanty house, no one was injured or dead.
