A fire broke out in a workplace in Kilimciler Industrial Estate, Bayrampaşa. The Fire Department was called and firefighters from many stations around the area attended the incident. Foam was used to respond to this chemical fire. Up to now, 15 tons of foams were applied to the blaze. The firefighters worked hard to prevent the fire from spreading to the other parts of the industrial estate. 162 firefighters in 82 vehicles tackled with the blaze. 75 people affected by the incident were rescued and evacuated. The cause of the incident is now under investigation.
