A fire broke at the electricity meters on the ground floor of a six-storey building on Yunus Road in Kordonboyu Neighbourhood, Kartal. The Fire Department was called at 21:06 and fire crews from Kartal and Pendik fire stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, worked hard and extinguished the blaze. 17 people trapped on upper floors were rescued and delivered over to paramedics. The fire resulted in material damage but no injuries or deaths.
