The Istanbul Fire Department non-stop conducts fire drills so as to minimize effects of fire and to fight efficiently against fires in high-fire-risk buildings such as schools, hospitals, hotels and shopping malls. Within this scope, a crew from Kocasinan fire station carried out an educative fire drill at Mehmet Akif Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School on Kadife Street in Merkez Neighbourhood, Kocasinan. In the first part, the students, teachers and school staff were given information on fire and knowledge of combustion, hazards on fire scene, fire extinguishers and their usage, methods of proper actions in fires and disasters, and pre-fire measures to be taken. In the second part, the students wearing training clothes conducted a fire drill.
