A fire broke out at the electrical panel on the ground floor of a five-storey building on Şamlı Street in Merkez Neighbourhood, Avcılar. The Fire Department was called at 08:26 and firefighters from Avcılar station attended the incident. The fire crew, arriving at the scene soon, worked hard and extinguished the blaze. Two people trapped on upper floors were rescued and delivered over to paramedics. The fire resulted in no deaths but material damage.
