A fire broke out in a five-storey derelict building in Tevfik Fikret Street on Atatürk Road in Soğanlık Yeni Neighbourhood, Kartal. The Fire Department was called at 13:46 and fire crews from Kartal and Yakacık stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze. While the fire resulted in damage to the building, no one was injured or dead.
