A fire broke out at textile waste in the stairwell of a six-storey building on Türkeli Road in Kumkapı Saraç İshak Neighbourhood, Kumkapı. The Fire Department was called at 16:55 and fire crews from Fatih and Eminönü stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, worked hard and extinguished the blaze. The people trapped on upper floors were rescued by the fire crews and taken to hospital by paramedics. While the fire resulted in damage to the workplace, no one was injured or dead.
