A fire broke out in the third-floor flat of a four-storey building on Sümbül Street in Merkez Neighbourhood, Eyüp. The Fire Department was called at 10:33 and fire crews from Eyüp and G.O.P stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, worked hard and extinguished the blaze. The people trapped on upper floors were rescued by the fire crews and taken to hospital by paramedics. While the fire resulted in damage to the flat, no one was injured or dead.
