A fire broke out in a forestland belong to the Faculty of Forestry of Istanbul University in Yenimahalle, Bahçeköy. The Fire Department was called at 15:45 and fire crews from Sarıyer, Maden, Şişli and Hacıosman stations attended the incident along with the fire helicopter a.k.a Flame Eagle and crews from Regional Directorate of Forestry. Flame Eagle, making 22 sorties, applied 50.463 litres of water and 117 litres of foam from air. All the crews worked hard and extinguished the blaze. While the fire resulted in damage to the forestland, no one was injured or dead.
