A fire broke out in the fourth-floor flat of a five-storey building on 493rd Street in Turgut Reis Neighbourhood, Esenler. The Fire Department was called at 22:46 and fire crews from Turgut Reis and Bağcılar stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, worked hard and extinguished the blaze. One person trapped on upper floors was rescued by the fire crews and taken to hospital by paramedics. While the fire resulted in damage to the flat, no one was dead.
