A fire broke out in a single-storey building on Efsun Street in Yunus Neighbourhood, Kartal. The Fire Department was called at 15:59 and firefighters from Kartal stations attended the incident. The fire crew, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze. One person affected by smoke was rescued by the firefighters and taken to hospital by paramedics. While the fire resulted in damage to the building, no one was dead.
