A fire broke out in a two-storey hardware store on Abdi İpekçi Road in Kavakpınar Neighbourhood, Pendik. The Fire Department was called at 09:29 and fire crews from Pendik, Tuzla, Kurtköy, Kartal, Yenişehir, Büyükbakkalköy, Orhanlı, Dudullu, Ümraniye and Yenidoğan stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze.  While the fire resulted in damage to the hardware store, no one was injured or dead.
