A fire broke out in a dry cargo ship on the coast road in Kordonboyu Neighbourhood, Kartal. The Fire Department was called at 15:16 and fire crews from Kartal, Pendik and Yakacık stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze. While the fire resulted in damage to the ship, no one was injured or dead.
