A fire broke out on the ground floor of a four-storey building on Altın Bakkal Street in Şehit Muhtar Neighbourhood, Beyoğlu. The Fire Department was called at 00:59 and fire crews from Beyoğlu, Fatih and Şişli stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze and rescued seven people trapped in the building. Then they were taken to hospital by paramedics. While the fire resulted in damage to dwelling, no one was dead.
