A fire broke out on the first floor of a four-storey building on Okul Street in Kartaltepe Neighbourhood, Bayrampaşa. The Fire Department was called at 14:09 and fire crews from Bayrampaşa and Eyüp stations attended the incident. The firefighters, arriving at the scene soon, extinguished the blaze and rescued 11 people trapped on upper floors. Then they were taken to hospital by paramedics. While the fire resulted in damage to the dwelling, no one was dead.
